FYI: As I get in touch with people who I hadn't heard from before (mostly via FaceBook, pretty kick-ass lookup tool~!) I am placing an asterisk by their names in the first blog post from 7-Jan.
If you have any questions about who what where etc or can't get in touch with someone who is on my friends list there, let me know.

Date to do this
For those of you who have shown interest so far, thanks so much! A quick thought in response to setting an actual date for a reunion: We should have the most response possible before going ahead with this in my opinion.
Nobody, I am sure, would like it if we go and have a get-together, and they didn't know about it first - if at all.
I published this blog's first entry on January 7th, 2009. That's two days so far! Before we go and get all rushed actually establishing a date, let's give it a while to brew first.
(That means all you type-A project managers need to relax!)
I sent notice to everyone I've been in touch with of this blog's existence - some folks may need time to ponder being involved first. A few of you have knowledge of where the rest of the missing members may be: tell them to check the site out! The link is:
http://mhr-1987-reunion.blogspot.com/
Copy and paste that in any correspondence you send them. I think if we make the effort to get everyone possible to show up / a positive response first, then we can move on.
If anyone wants to email me directly, the address is jim.whelan@att.net

Getting Back In Touch
Hello out there!
If you came across this looking for any school other than Most Holy Redeemer Catholic grammar school (K-8) in Evergreen Park, Illinois - you are in the wrong place.
I am looking to organize an informal gathering, possibly a full-blown class reunion, for anyone who attended Holy Redeemer and graduated / would have graduated in 1987 (not counting CCD students - only official MHR attendees) . There were 30 of us in the graduating class, all of whom I listed below, right off of the red t-shirts we all got in 8th grade. I also listed 16 others (that I can remember, thanks Kevin O!) whom left before graduation / moved etc.
Reason for all this? It will be 25 years in 2012 and we have not had an exclusive reunion of any sort in that time. (Going up to Gilhooley's on any Black Wednesday, MHR "multi-class" get-togethers since then do not count!) If I can get everyone in touch somehow, then we'll talk about a venue and a date as far as a gathering or dinner or whatever sounds like fun.
This might not be "your thing," I realize. I am not trying to put anyone on the spot. Some of you may not have any nostalgia for your childhood years, and that's fine. But I have thought about our class for many years, and I think if ever there was a time to consider this it might as well be now. We have 2 years until 2012, who knows if we can gather some interest between now and then.
Teachers who are interested may also make contact. It would be nice to hear from a few of you as well.
For those of you with whom I have been in touch with / made contact with in the past few years, I have put an asterisk in front of your name. This includes via MySpace, FaceBook, and LinkedIn. So - if you see your name below and there's no asterisk, I want to hear from you! I hope everyone is doing alright. Lastly, obviously some women may have married names now, please share with the rest of us! (I have made an addendum to the few I know of.)
Reply to this blog, or email me directly via the provided link, and we'll see who shows up.
